Scholarships: J. M. Yater Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was created by friends and family in honor and in memory of J. M. Yater, a longtime educator in Martin County schools. This scholarship will aid graduates who have demonstrated a high level of success while striving to reach their educational goals. Awards are based on the following:
- A senior student at Stanton High School, Grady High School or Sands High School who will graduate in May.
- Attend a junior college or four-year college or university.
- Students must have an 85 overall grade average for the four years of high school and must submit a transcript showing the first 3 years grades and a copy of the 4th six weeks report card for the fourth year grades. If you have concurrent college credit, please attach your college transcript.
