Scholarship Funds
Thanks to generous donors who have created scholarship funds, Permian Basin Area Foundation offers a variety of academic scholarships to those pursuing higher education and vocational opportunities. While most of the Foundation's scholarships are available to students originating from the Permian Basin region, each scholarship is unique in its focus and criteria.
Scholarships are generally awarded to graduating high school seniors with the exception of the Judge Lucius Bunton Memorial Scholarship, the Marie Hall Scholarship, the Dick Harris Scholarship, Ted Lawson Memorial Scholarship, and the Texas Tech Club of Midland Scholarship. Each recipient accepting a scholarship from the Foundation must execute and comply with the Scholarship Agreement. It must be completed, signed and returned to the Foundation office before payment will be released to the college.
A recipient must enroll as a full-time student (minimum of 12 hours).
A recipient may receive other grants and scholarships provided this scholarship is still needed and recipient does not receive a full athletic or academic scholarship from the college they are attending.
Do not submit applications prior to the first day of the month that they are due.
Include a copy of your most current transcript which includes your Fall grades.
After acceptance/enrollment documentation is provided to the Foundation, all scholarship awards are disbursed directly to the college or university the recipient is attending. It is the recipients' responsibility to assure that the Foundation receives their proof of enrollment.
