Established in April 1981 by family and friends, the Donnie Munsell Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to assist graduate athletes of Andrews High School who, although not mandatory, plan to participate in college athletics. The scholarship will be announced at the Andrews High School All Sports Banquet each spring and shall be awarded one-half per semester in the first year of college, based upon the following:

  1. Desire and dedication.
  2. Citizenship.
  3. Academics (class rank, ACT or SAT scores, satisfactory completion of the TAAS Test, and grade point averages of first 7 semesters in high school. To be provided by the school.)
  4. Sports ability and participation.
  5. Need. (Receipt of a full scholarship from another source would eliminate an applicant).
  6. Plan to participate in college athletics.
