Guy McCrary, Foundation president and CEO, spoke briefly about the impact of the Foundation in the Permian Basin region. “Twenty years ago, the Foundation began with assets of less than a million dollars. Today, our assets exceed $50 million. But what is really exciting is the fact that the generosity of our donors has enabled the Foundation to award more than $30 million in grants and scholarships.”
Permian Basin Area Foundation facilitates the creation of permanent charitable funds in partnership with many donors and provides grants to address changing community needs and enrich the quality of life in the Permian Basin. “As we strive to grow our assets,” McCrary said, “we are inspired by the confidence of our donors to partner with the Foundation to be a vision and voice for philanthropy in West Texas.”
The Foundation awards grants following review of applications submitted in the spring and fall. Spring grant pre-applications are due at the Foundation’s offices on or before April 1, 2010. Additional information about the Foundation’s grant criteria and application procedures is available here.
