Julie Jones joins Permian Basin Area Foundation as Director of Donor Relations and Development
May 16, 2007 MIDLAND, TX Julie Jones has been named Director of Donor Relations and Development of Permian Basin Area Foundation.
Jones has been involved in several community organizations since moving to Midland in 1990, including Junior League of Midland, The Midland Symphony Guild, and the Museum of the Southwest. She previously served on staff at First United Methodist Church since 2000, most recently as Program Director. Jones earned a bachelors degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
I am honored to be a part of this rapidly growing organization, and I am looking forward to working with this staff and the people of this community to enrich the quality of life in West Texas, Jones said.
Permian Basin Area Foundation facilitates the creation of permanent charitable funds in partnership with many donors, and provides grants to address changing community needs and enrich the quality of life in the Permian Basin. During 2006, the Foundation made grants and scholarships totaling $1.8 million, and grew to more than $42 million in total assets of permanent charitable funds. The Foundation recently received a $5 million grant for the TRIAD Fund project to address needs of military service members who have been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan and their families.
Permian Basin Area Foundation is certified by the Council on Foundations as compliant with National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations.
