The Grace and Bob King Scholarship Fund was established by friends of longtime Odessans Grace (photo at right) and the late Bob King. The new scholarship fund was announced on February 28th, at the Heritage of Odessa Founders Community Statesman banquet. In presenting the announcement, former Odessa Mayor Lorraine Perryman said, “Grace is a community treasure who has expressed her true spirit of service over five decades – in the arts, business, economic development, historical preservation, beautification, philanthropy and government. We cherish her for all she has done to make Odessa a better place.”

Bob and Earlene Barnes established the Barnes Family Charitable Endowment in January to serve as a vehicle for their generous philanthropy. Although they currently live in Granbury, the Barnes have lifelong interests in Odessa and West Texas. We are pleased that Bob and Earlene chose Permian Basin Area Foundation to serve in fulfilling their interests.
