Peggy and Bob Cowan Merit Scholarship
The Peggy and Bob Cowan Merit Scholarship in Music was announced at the Midland-Odessa Symphony concert on September 15th. Made possible by the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cowan of Midland, this scholarship program unites three west Texas institutions in the enrichment of education and fine music for our region.

President of the Foundation
The Peggy and Bob Cowan Merit Scholarship in Music is made available to music students of the University of Texas of the Permian Basin who achieve high academic standards, win a competitive recital of their peers, and are awarded a contract to perform with the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale (MOSC). Scholarship recipients may qualify by performance in either voice or instrument, and must perform regularly with MOSC for the duration of the scholarship.
The Foundation is honored to participate in this unique alliance with the University and MOSC, and we are grateful to the Cowans for their generosity in creating this visionary program.
