Permian Basin Area Foundation, Midland, Texas

As 17th Century English clergyman and author Thomas Fuller once wrote, “He that plants trees loves others beside himself.” He knew that the human spirit is uniquely impelled to consider the future beyond our limited time on Earth and ask, “What can I do to benefit our children and grandchildren?”

Donors to Permian Basin Area Foundation are planters of trees. They consider what blessings life has provided, what prior generations have done for them through work, sacrifice and generosity. Then they act in a spirit of unselfish love about which the great Apostle, St. Paul, said in his first letter to the Corinthian Church, “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” (I Cor. 13:13 NKJV)

We salute our “tree-planters” and dedicate to them this annual report.
