The Grace and Bob King Scholarship Fund was established by the many friends of longtime Odessans Grace and the late Bob King. “Grace is a community treasure who has expressed her true spirit of service over five decades – in the arts, business, economic development, historical preservation, beatification, philanthropy and government,” said former Odessa Mayor Lorraine Perryman, in announcing the new scholarship fund at the Heritage of Odessa Founders Community Statesman banquet. “We cherish her for all she has done to make Odessa, Texas a better place.” The Foundation is one of many organizations that have proudly called Grace a member of our Board, and we are grateful for her many years of service.

Double Blessings
Donita and Sarita Brown – twin sisters from McCamey - were among 20 students selected to receive Marie Hall Scholarships for the 2007-2008 academic year. They are attending Angelo State University and scheduled to complete their bachelor degrees in 2009. According to their mother Nonita Brown, “The Foundation’s scholarships are blessings to our family and to numerous families in our area. Through the generosity of the Foundation’s donors (such as Marie Hall in the photo at right) these kids can not only dream but fulfill those dreams. Thank you for supporting our young people.”
