Component Funds - Special Community Funds

This type of fund is non-permanent and established for a specific project or a community initiative.

Mom’s Cancer Care Assistance Fund
An anonymous donor created this fund to assist cancer patients with the severe costs of treatment and medication expenses.

PBAF Emergency Relief Fund
As an emergency resource for the community, this fund supports families experiencing serious financial circumstances as a result of catastrophic events. The Foundation works with local churches in the grant-making activities of this fund.

The Community Children’s Clinic is a nonprofit ministry that serves sick children of Midland’s low-income families. With an estate gift from one of its devoted volunteers, the Clinic established an endowment with the Foundation some years ago. Today, this endowment continues to receive gifts from time to time, while providing funds to sustain the valuable services the Clinic offers. Each of the Foundation’s funds supporting agencies is open to receive gifts of any value to add to the endowment.

Permian Basin Area Foundation administers a number of other funds, the donors to which have requested anonymity.

Funds of the Foundation are open to additional tax-deductible contributions. We also welcome the opportunity to visit with donors about creating new component funds for charitable purposes.
