Component Funds - Unrestricted Funds
Unrestricted Funds provide the Foundations Board with the greatest flexibility in meeting emerging and changing needs in the Permian Basin area.
Permian Basin Endowment Fund This fund receives gifts of different sizes from many different donors to meet the general charitable needs of the Permian Basin area.
Richard S. Anderson Memorial Fund This fund was created by Mary N. Anderson in honor and memory of her husband, Richard S. Dick Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a long-time Midland business and civic leader.
Hy and Elizabeth Davidson Memorial Fund This fund has been created by Susan Davidson McClenahan and Steve Davidson in honor of their parents, Hy and Elizabeth Davidson, who were active in civic and charitable activities throughout their lives. The fund is designated to address social, educational and cultural needs.
Joseph Wm. Foran Fund* This fund was created with a gift from Joseph Wm. Foran, Chairman of Matador Petroleum Corporation, in honor of Rodney Robinson for his commitment to community service.
Leon Jeffcoat Fund* This fund was established by the Board of Governors of Permian Basin Area Foundation in honor of Leon Jeffcoat, CPA, for his many years of volunteer service to the Foundation.
Lacy Permanent Fund This fund was established by Juandelle Lacy Roberts and the late James W. Lacy.
Tom and Evelyn Linebery Memorial Endowment* This fund was created with assets from the dissolution of the Scarborough-Linebery Foundation to sustain the Lineberys legacy of charity.
M. Elizabeth Locker Memorial Fund This fund was established by M. Elizabeth Locker who quietly supported many Permian Basin area causes. She was a past chairman of the Foundations Board of Governors.
Rachel Lyman Memorial Fund This fund was created as an endowment for general charitable purposes through an estate gift by Mrs. Rachel Lyman.
Joe and Beverly Pevehouse Fund This fund was established by friends and family of Joe and Beverly Pevehouse. Mr. Pevehouse, now deceased, and Mrs. Pevehouse both served as members of the Board of Governors of the Foundation in addition to serving many other community roles.
Pickett Family Charitable Fund* This fund was created with memorial gifts from family and friends upon the death of Perry Pickett, former Midland mayor and retired State District Judge. The fund supports general charitable purposes.
Jack D. and Margery S. Riggs Fund This Fund was created with resources from a planned estate gift from Jack and Margery Riggs, longtime Midlanders and community volunteers.
Clarence and Dorothy Scharbauer Fund This fund, established by Clarence, Jr. and Dorothy Turner Scharbauer, is for general charitable purposes. Mr. and Mrs. Scharbauer were raised in families with deep roots in the Permian Basin and support a broad array of charitable causes.
Deane H. and Janet Stoltz Fund This fund was established by Deane H. and Janet Stoltz. Mr. Stoltz was chairman of the charter Board of Governors of Permian Basin Area Foundation.
Allen K. Trobaugh Memorial Fund This fund was established by the United Way of Midland Board of Directors and friends of Allen K. Moose Trobaugh, a long-time Midland civic leader and philanthropist.
*These funds have been established since the publication of the Foundation's last annual report
Permian Basin Area Foundation administers a number of other funds the donors to which have requested anonymity.
Funds of the Foundation are open to additional tax-deductible contributions. We also welcome the opportunity to visit with donors about creating new component funds for charitable purposes.
