Amy Gardner was a young woman with many talents and passions. At Andrews High School, where she graduated with honors, Amy was a member of the National Honor Society and Future Teachers of America and played varsity tennis. She excelled as a member of the Mustang Band, earning a percussionist chair on the All State Band for three consecutive years. She also loved playing piano in the Jazz Band, and won the Louis Armstrong Award for her musicianship. In 2002, during her freshman year at UTPB, Amy died in an automobile accident. Amy’s family established the Amy Gardner Memorial “Louis Armstrong” Scholarship Fund so that other Andrews High band students could pursue higher education. We are pleased to be a part of honoring this gifted young woman in this way.

M. Elizabeth Locker Memorial Fund – This fund was established by M. Elizabeth Locker who quietly supported many Permian Basin area causes. She was a past chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Governors.
