Hosted by the Midland Odessa Symphony & Chorale, the National Young Artist Competition brings fine music to the Permian Basin and offers opportunities to excel to talented young musicians from around the world. The Foundation was pleased to provide a grant to support this prestigious competition, which was won by harpist Julie Smith of Hastings, Nebraska. Ms. Smith will be featured during the second Masterworks concert of the Symphony’s 2003-2004 performance season in November. The Foundation is pleased to steward the Midland Odessa Symphony & Chorale Endowment Fund on behalf of this wonderful performing arts organization.
