Mission Center provides day care services for elderly citizens and other adults with impairments and frail or disabling conditions. For many families, Mission is an alternative to full-time nursing home care. Mission Day Care allows family loved ones to continue to live at home while providing the family respite for work and life’s other daily demands. During 2002, Permian Basin Area Foundation partnered with other charitable foundations to provide support to Mission during a time of financial crisis. The Nonprofit Management Center of the Permian Basin provided and coordinated technical assistance to help with Mission’s organizational develop-ment. The Nonprofit Management Center is a program of Permian Basin Area Foundation.
