Component Funds - Community Project Special Purpose Funds
This type of fund is non-permanent and established for a specific project or a community initiative.
Childrens Educational Opportunity Foundation (CEO) Fund This fund was created to open avenues to alternative education opportunities for youth in need, as determined by established criteria. Students in grades K-12 who are selected through the application process are provided with partial funding to attend local private educational institutions.
George W. Bush Childhood Home Fund This Fund was established to receive gifts to support the renovation of the childhood home of President George W. Bush, who spent his early years in Midland.
Midland City Parks Restoration Fund This fund was created to receive gifts from neighborhood associations and interested citizens to help revitalize and restore the citys neighborhood parks in collaboration with the City of Midland Community Services Department.
Moms Cancer Care Assistance Fund This Fund was created by an anonymous donor to assist cancer patients with the catastrophic costs of treatment and medication expenses.
Performing Arts Center Fund This Fund has been established to receive gifts toward the creation and construction of a performing arts center to benefit the Permian Basin region.
Notes:
Permian Basin Area Foundation administers a number of other funds, the donors to which have requested anonymity.
Funds of the Foundation are open to additional tax-deductible contributions. We also welcome the opportunity to visit with donors about creating new component funds for charitable purposes.
