A Decade of Building

With this Annual Report, Permian Basin Area Foundation marks ten years as an organization dedicated to serving people and people-serving agencies of our region's communities. The Foundation's progress can be readily measured in each year of this decade. The growth of assets by virtue of increased contributions and sound stewardship of resources has availed increasingly greater capacity to provide charitable grants for more organizations delivering much needed community services.

Less easily measured are the vision and the commitment to build on the economic and philanthropic strengths of our communities. These strengths are indeed the building blocks of the Foundation - if you will, the Foundation's foundation.

Building upon the foundation of a new structure - constructing a home, a church, a place of business -takes careful planning, a box full of tools, and a diverse range of work skills if the finished product is to be suitable.

Building an organization such as Permian Basin Area Foundation may be likened to the process of construction - except that the product is never finished; there is always need for better planning, more tools and resources, more folks with the skills and commitment to do good work.

The Foundation's work will always be a work in progress, just as the needs and aspirations and expectations of the people of our communities are ever-changing, ever-growing.

Thus, our work at Permian Basin Area Foundation is to continue to build. We invite you to join with us as we begin our second decade of building...
